Frequently Asked Questions

What is Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT)?

Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a brief, focused approach that works with emotional imprints and identity patterns linked to past experiences.

It does not require repeatedly retelling traumatic events. Instead, it works with how memory is stored and how the nervous system responds in the present. Clients often seek IEMT support for anxiety, emotional triggers, trauma patterns, phobias and long-standing beliefs such as “I am not safe” or “I am not good enough.”

Sessions are available in Glasgow and online.

How is this different from traditional talking therapy?

Traditional therapy often explores insight and narrative over time. IEMT works more directly with emotional response and identity-level patterns. Many clients notice shifts more quickly because the work focuses on reducing emotional intensity at its source rather than analysing it repeatedly. Coaching alongside IEMT supports integration and practical lifestyle change.

What is the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)?

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a listening-based intervention designed to support vagus nerve function and nervous system regulation. It may help with anxiety, hypervigilance, sensory sensitivity and chronic stress patterns.

SSP is delivered with professional guidance and integrated into wider coaching support.

Do you treat medical or mental health conditions?

No. I do not diagnose or treat medical or psychiatric conditions. My work focuses on stress reduction, nervous system regulation and emotional processing. It is designed to complement — not replace — GP or specialist care.

Can this help with autoimmune conditions?

Many clients with autoimmune conditions seek support because of the well-established link between chronic stress and immune function. While I do not treat autoimmune disease, reducing stress load and improving nervous system regulation can support overall wellbeing and resilience.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your goals and history. Some clients experience noticeable change within 1–3 IEMT sessions. Others choose ongoing coaching for deeper nervous system stabilisation and long-term integration. We will discuss this together after your first session.

Are sessions confidential?

Yes. All sessions are confidential in accordance with professional standards. Confidentiality may only be broken where there is a legal safeguarding obligation.

Where are you based?

I am based in West Glasgow, Scotland and I also work from The Health Collective in Kinning Park.

Sessions are available in-person and online via secure video call.

What is your cancellation policy?

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be charged in accordance with the Terms & Conditions.
